According to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so the children of Israel made all the work.

42. As in v. 32 (cf. Exo 25:8), the Israelites generally, not Bal’l and Oholiab in particular, are mentioned as those who did the work. No doubt the ‘wise hearted’ assistants (Exo 31:6, Exo 35:10; Exo 35:25, Exo 36:1-2; Exo 36:4; Exo 36:8) are thought of.
