And he put the candlestick in the tent of the congregation, over against the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.
24. See v. 4b, Exo 26:35 b. For over against, read opposite to. And he put the candlestick in the tent of the congregation,…. In the same place, the holy place: over against the table: the shewbread table:
on the side of the tabernacle southward: directly opposite to the table.
Verses 24, 25:
Moses placed the gold candlestick (lampstand) in the holy place, opposite the table of shewbread. This was a heavy and very valuable item, made of one talent weight (app. 75.5 pounds) of pure gold.

(24) He put the candlestick . . . over against the table.Directly opposite to it, on the left hand, as one faced the vail. The light would thus be thrown on the table of shewbread. (See Exo. 25:37.)
