1Ch 14:7. And Beeliada In the parallel place, 2 Sam. ch. 1Ch 5:16., as also in the third chapter and eighth verse of this book, the same person is called Eliada. See Houbigant and Pilkington.

Beeliada. In 2Sa 5:16 called Eliada, which was a later name, perhaps changed from Beeliada because of the name “Baal”, or lord, which, at first innocent, came to be associated with idolatry. See note on 1Ch 8:34.

Beeliada: Probably Beeliada is a mistake for Eliada, as the LXX, Syriac, and Arabic read here. 2Sa 5:16, Eliada
and Eliphalet: 1Ch 3:8, Eliphelet, This variation merely arises from the change of a vowel. Here we have 13 persons mentioned, but only 11 in Samuel; and it is probable that the duplicate Elishama and Eliphelet dying when young, were therefore omitted in the latter.
