Cursed [be] he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

22. Cp. H, Lev 18:9; Lev 20:17. In earlier times marriage with a half-sister was apparently allowed, Gen 20:12, 2Sa 13:13 b; but is condemned in Eze 22:11.
