When he allowed himself to compromise with the milieu around him, he also put his family into even greater danger. We have to remember that change is inevitable. Since change is inevitable, we must strive for a closer relationship with God, inoculating us against the evil influences of society around us. In the midst of the horrific changes soon to engulf us, nothing is more deadly than to maintain the status quo as had Lot and his extended family.
