WHEN the Word of God is linked with the Spirit of God, you have what I might call a spiritual Xerox moment. You take a piece of paper and you put it on the Xerox machine. You lay the paper on the Xerox machine because you want a copy. You push the button because you want what’s on the Xerox machine to come out on another sheet of paper. Before it comes out on another sheet of paper, what happens is a light comes underneath and takes a picture of the piece of paper you laid on top. The light then transfers what it photographs onto another sheet of paper so that there is a copy, an exact copy, of what you put on top. When you come to church to hear the Word of God, it’s like putting a piece of paper on top. The Word is transferred onto your life via the light and the life of the Holy Spirit. He makes sure the life of Christ, an exact copy, is transferred to you.906
