And provoked to anger.Deu. 32:16. Instead of this 2Ch. 28:18 obscurely mentions further changes which Ahaz made in the Temple, for fear of the king of Assyria.” It seems probable that the sacrilege described in 2Ch. 28:24 and in 2Ki. 16:17-18, was perpetrated in collecting everything of any value to send to the rapacious Assyrian.
