25. And his brethren by Eliezer; Rehabiah ] R.V. And his brethren; of Eliezer came Rehabiah. Cp. 1Ch 23:15-17 , 1Ch 24:21.
Shelomith ] R.V. Shelomoth (so C’thb); A.V. follows K’ri; cp. 1Ch 26:28 (R.V. mg.).

And his brethren by Eliezer,…. His kinsmen that descended from Eliezer, the brother of Gershom, the ancestor of Shebuel, whose descent from him in succession were
Rehabiah, Jeshaiah, Joram, Zichri, and Shelomith.

(25) And his brethren by Eliezer.And his (Shebuels) brethren (kinsmen) belonging to (the house of) Eliezer (Moses second son) were Rehabiah his (Eliezers) son, and Jeshaiah his (Rehabiahs) son, &c. (Comp. 1Ch. 23:17.) The object of the verse is to show the extraction of Shelomith or Shelomoth, whose function is defined in 1Ch. 26:26. Shelomith the Amramite is not to be confused with the Gershomite Shelomith (1Ch. 23:9), nor with the Izharite (1Ch. 23:18; 1Ch. 24:22).
