Precious cloths for chariots R.V., “for riding;” saddlecloths. (See R.V., Jdg 5:10.)
“Dedan was your trader in saddlecloths for riding,
Arabia and all the princes of Kedar, they were your merchants (the merchants of your hand – compare Eze 27:15),
In lambs and rams and goats, in these were they your suppliers.
The traders of Sheba and Raamah, they were your dealers,
They traded for your wares with the best of all spices, and with all precious stones and gold.”
The various cities of Arabia are now mentioned, well known for their trading caravans. Tyre dealt with them all. Every known luxury passed through her hands.

Eze 27:20. Dedan has already been mentioned (verse 15) as one of the traders with Tyrus, but that verse is not very specific as to its products. The present verse tells us that the article it took to Tyrus was precious clothes for chariots. The last, word has a very indefinite meaning in the lexicon, including men who ride in chariots and those who ride on horses as cavalrymen. The phrase means some fine covering for the bodies of these men.
Dedan also provided saddlecloths, and other Arabians and the Arab tribes of Kedar, a nomadic people, paid lambs, rams, and goats for their goods.
