Verse 14. REPHIDIM.] Remarkable for the rebellion of the Israelites against Moses, because of the want of water, Ex 17:1-3.

And they removed from Alush, and encamped at Rephidim,…. Eight miles from Alush:

where was no water for the people to drink; and they murmured, and a rock here was smitten by Moses at the command of God, and waters gushed out sufficient for them and their flocks, Ex 17:1.
